QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild remained red hot in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League on Friday night.
The Wild pulled out a 6-5 road win over the Saint John Vitos to extend their winning streak to eight games. The victory, which improved the Wild’s record to 17-5-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), opens up a three-point lead over the second-place Moncton Flyers (15-5-2), who visit Community Gardens on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff.

At the QPlex, Evan Gallant and Colby MacArthur each scored two goals to lead the Wild. Team captain Clark Webster contributed a power-play goal, and Isaac Callaghan scored a short-handed tally. Ryan Richards and Frank Fortin each picked up two assists.
Zach Alchorn, Drew Johnston, Connor McCluskey, Chris Beers and Caleb Kean countered for the Vitos (13-9-0).
The Wild held period leads of 3-1 and 5-2.
Caleb Coyle earned the goaltending win.
