KENSINGTON – The Kensington Monaghan Farms will return to action on Sunday.
The Wild, who has been idle since playing a semifinal game in the 2018 Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam hockey tournament in Bedford, N.S., on Jan. 14, will hit the road for a make-up game in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League. The Wild, who last played a league game on Jan. 6, will travel to Petit-Rocher, N.B., to take on the Bathurst-based Northern Moose in a neutral-site game at 2 p.m.
The Wild sits in second place in the league standings at 18-6-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). The Moose is fifth in the six-team league at 7-13-4.
It will be the first of back-to-back meetings between the Wild and Moose, who will meet again in Bathurst on Friday, Feb. 2.
The Wild’s next home game is Saturday, Feb. 3, when arch-rival Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride (10-11-3) visit Community Gardens for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff.
