MONCTON, N.B. – Two players from Summerside in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League closed out 2017 with a bang.
Moncton Wildcats forward Jeremy McKenna scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-1 win over the Moncton Wildcats before just under 6,000 fans at the Moncton Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
McKenna, who was named the game’s first star, improved his point total to 43 in 38 regular-season games, with 19 goals and 24 assists.

Also on Sunday in Bathurst, N.B., defenceman Noah Dobson also had a three-point afternoon – one goal and two assists – in helping the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 7-1 decision over the Charlottetown Islanders.
In 38 regular-season games, Dobson now has 36 points – five goals and 31 assists.
