CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Colin Gaudette stopped all 25 shots he faced Monday as the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces shut out the Sherwood Metros 6-0 to win the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League title.

Drake Smallman had three goals and an assist while Brayden Handrahan had a goal and an assist as the Aces won the best-of-seven series 4-1. Curklan Fraser scored the winner midway through the first period while Will Tuplin also found the back of the net as the Aces built 2-0 and 5-0 period leads at Cody Banks Arena.

Brayden Arsenault had two assists while singles went to Dawson Sellick, Tyson Beckingham, Kane Arsenault and Keaton Horne.

James Duffy stopped 38 shots in the loss.

Tignish was 2-for-6 on the power play while Sherwood was 0-for-5.

The Aces will represent Prince Edward Island at the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Hockey Championships in Woodstock, N.B., March 27-31.
