CHARLOTTETOWN

The Charlottetown Central Attack broke open a close game with three goals in the third period for a 6-4 win over the visiting Mid-Isle Matrix The P.E.I. Bantam AAA League game was played at Simmons Arena.

Teams were tied 1-1 after the first and 3-3 after two periods.

John MacKinnon (2,1), Matt McQuaid (1,1), Reid Vos (11) and Josh Lund scored for the Attack. Colby Huggan (3), Jacob Squires (2)Jamie Collins and Isaac Vos added assists. AJ Cooper picked up the goaltending win.

Carson MacKay (2,1), Angus Beaton (1,3) and Reese Wyand replied for the Matrix. Assists went to Harrison James and Crosby Andrews. Penalties were fairly even, nine minors for the Matrix and eight minors and a double minor for the Attack.
