ABRAM-VILLAGE – Dawson McCormack and Austin Taylor each scored two goals while Spencer Groom collected three assists to lead the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 7-4 victory over the Eastern Maniacs on Tuesday night.

The Island Junior Hockey League game, which was played at the Evangeline Recreation Centre, was rescheduled from Sunday afternoon due to the weather.
Isaac Knox (1-1), affiliated player Thomas Rennie and Chandler Wood also scored for the Red Wings, who improved their league-leading record to 21-3-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). Chasse Gallant (2), Tristan Cahill, Evan Millman and Brydon Smith added assists.
Andrew Campbell (2-1), Tyson McInnis and Jason Poley replied for the Maniacs (1-19-2). Nick Steele (2) and Zach Kennific set up the markers.
The Red Wings led 2-1 after the opening period, and outscored the Maniacs 5-3 in the middle frame to take a 7-4 advantage into the second intermission.
Winning goaltender Bronson Banks made 28 saves of 32 tests. Noah Laybolt had a much busier night in the Maniacs’ goal, blocking 46 of 53 shots.
