SUMMERSIDE – Rain, snow, wind and cold temperatures may have provided less than ideal playing conditions, but that didn’t stop four teams from competing for P.E.I. School Athletic Association Intermediate AA Field Hockey League medals on Thursday.

Molly Doyle’s goal in the 51st minute proved to be the difference as the Stonepark Tigers edged the East Wiltshire Warriors 1-0 to win the provincial championship in an early-evening contest at Eric Johnston Field in Summerside.
Laney McGonnell recorded the shutout.
The final was preceded by the bronze-medal game between the Montague Storm and Summerside Intermediate School Owls.
Bella Rose VanColen netted the game’s lone goal while Grace London earned the shutout in Montague’s 1-0 victory.
