Slauenwhite to work Hockey Canada camp

NEW HAVEN, P.E.I. — New Haven’s Jackson Slauenwhite is going to work with some of Canada’s top female hockey players next month in Calgary.
He is the mental performance consultant for Hockey Canada’s under-18 team selection camps from Aug. 2-11. Athletes will compete for a chance to wear the Maple Leaf in a pair of three-game series against the United States in Lake Placid, N.Y., from Aug. 14-17.
Slauenwhite graduated from UPEI in 2015 with a psychology degree and earned a master’s degree in sport psychology and coaching from Western University in London, Ont., in 2017.
He has worked with several Island sports programs, including the Charlottetown Islanders, UPEI men’s soccer team and Special Olympics P.E.I. while also having a stint with Hockey Canada and supported the London Badgers under-18 baseball team to Canadian national championship in 2017.
