ABRAM-VILLAGE – The Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings will look to carry their play from November into December.
The Red Wings, who have won four straight games and earned
12 of a possible 14 points last month, will host the Cap-Pelé Predators in an interlocking game with the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League on Sunday. The opening faceoff at the Evangeline Recreation Centre is set for 7 p.m.
The Red Wings have moved into second place in the Island Junior Hockey League, two points ahead of the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers. Western is 6-5-2 (won-lost-overtime losses), and the Vipers, who were scheduled to visit Cap-Pelé on Friday, are 5-5-2.
The Red Wings, led by Isaac Knox’s four-point effort, are coming off a 7-3 road win over the first-place Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros (8-6-1) on Wednesday night. Red Wings general manager JC Gallant described Wednesday’s win as a “complete team effort.”
