ABRAM-VILLAGE – The Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings will play a rare Sunday matinee this weekend.
The Red Wings will host the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers in a 2:30 p.m. start at the Evangeline Recreational Centre. With it being Super Bowl Sunday, fans are asked to please note the earlier-than-normal start time.
The Red Wings, who are on a 15-game winning streak, sit atop the Island Junior Hockey League standings at 17-5-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). Kensington is in third place at 10-12-4.
The Vipers’ scheduled interlocking game with the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League in Cap-Pele on Friday night was postponed due to the weather forecast. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
