ST. STEPHEN, N.B. – It has been a big weekend for Tayler Read of Wilmot Valley.
After scoring the Truro Bearcats’ lone goal in a 3-1 road loss to the Woodstock Slammers on Friday night, Read assisted on both goals in a 2-1 victory in St. Stephen, N.B., against the host Aces on Saturday night.
Read, who captained the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League last season, was also recognized as the game’s second star against St. Stephen.
In 22 regular-season games with the Bearcats, Read has four goals and four assists for eight points in his rookie campaign in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
