Pownal Red Devils rally past Western Regals

POWNAL, P.E.I. — The Pownal Red Devils scored two goals late in the third period to hand the Western Regals their first loss of the 2019-20 P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League season.
Sam Parsons’s second goal of the game tied the score 5-5 at 13:18 of the final frame and Will MacDougall’s goal at 17:54 gave the Red Devils a 6-5 victory at the Pownal Sports Centre on Monday night.
Noah Brehaut (1-2), Devon MacPhee (1-1) and Cole McKeigan also scored for Pownal, which improved to 1-1-1 (won-lost-tied).
Chandler DesRoches (2-1), Cole Hemphill (1-1), Kalim DesRoches and Liam Greenan countered for the Regals (2-1-0). Brett Ballum added two assists.
The teams entered the intermissions tied 2-2 and 4-4.
The winning goaltender was Caleb Drake. Turner Ellis was between the pipes for the Alberton-based Regals.
