POWNAL, P.E.I. – Adam Richards goal with 2:18 left was the winner Monday as the host Pownal
Taco Boyz Red Devils defeated the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack 5-4 in in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Central built a 3-0 lead in the first period, but Pownal responded with three of its own in the middle frame to go to the third tied 3-3.
Cole McKeigan and Michael Gallant each had a goal and an assist in the win while Sam Parsons and Will MacDougall each chipped in a goal. Noah Brehaut and Thomas Docherty each had two assists while singles were awarded to Jack Triantafflou, Carson Lund and Sam Langille.
John MacKinnon and Caden Kielly each scored twice for the Attack. Emmett Lyons had three assists while Noah Dow added one.
Caleb Drake earned the win while Keegan Duffy was tagged with the loss.
Pownal was 3-for-9 on the power play while Central was 2-for-8. The Red Devils imporved to 4-5-1 while the Attack is 1-8-1.
