SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Defenceman Noah Dobson of Summerside recorded his first point of the 2019 National Hockey League pre-season for the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Dobson moved the puck to Mathew Barzal down low on the right side and he found Jordan Eberle in the slot for the tying goal at 18:26 of the third period with an extra attacker on the ice to lift the Islanders into a 2-2 tie with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Mason Jobst scored at 4:07 of overtime to give the Islanders a 3-2 win.
The Islanders selected the 19-year-old Dobson in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
