CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A former Charlottetown Islanders scout is the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s new director of central scouting.

Patrick Desrosiers replaces Carl Bouchard, who left the position in July after five years leading the department.

“I am honoured to accept this new challenge,” said Desrosiers. “I’ve worked as a scout for QMJHL teams for 15 years, so my heart beats with and for the league. I know what my responsibilities are and I’ll make sure to do all I can in order to meet the expectations of our teams.”
His role includes coordinating nine scouts, including five in the Province of Quebec and four in the Maritimes.

Desrosiers worked with the P.E.I. Rocket and Charlottetown Islanders from 2012-13 to 2015-16. He also worked for the Don Meehan Agency for three years.
