KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Northern Moose earned just their second win of the 2018-19 New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League regular season in dramatic fashion on Saturday night.

Alex Tremblay, with the game-winning goal, and William Schofield scored in the shootout to lift the Moose to a 3-2 victory over the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild in a make-up game at Credit Union Centre in Kensington. Landon Clow scored the lone goal of the shootout for the short-staffed Wild team, which was missing six regular skaters and goaltender Josh Smith.
The Moose, who received a 38-save performance from goaltender Christian Gaudet through regulation time and the five-minute overtime period, led 1-0 after the first period, and the teams went into the second intermission tied 2-2.
Jake Parker and Jeremie Rousselle scored in regulation time for the Bathurst, N.B.-based Moose, who improved to 2-29-2 (won-lost-overtime losses).
Ryan Richards (1-1) and Colby MacArthur countered for the Wild (25-7-1). Lucas Parsons and Dixon MacLeod added assists.
Overall, the Wild outshot the Moose 40-25 through regulation time and overtime. Chad Arsenault tended goal for the Wild.

Kensington will close out the regular season with road games against the Fredericton Caps (8-21-4) on Sunday afternoon and the Moose on Saturday night.
