O’LEARY – It has been a good week for the O’Leary Maroons of the P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League.
The Maroons won a pair of games – 2-1 over the Summerside Capitals and 5-1 against the Tignish Aces.

At the O’Leary Community Sports Centre, affiliated player Dylan Tuplin scored twice while Charles Gallant (1-1), Tanner Gallant and Jacob Gallant added single tallies for O’Leary. Morgan MacLeod (3), Reece Arsenault (2), Darcy Sherren and Nathan Grigg added assists.
Sydney Rennie set up Dominic Arsenault for Tignish’s lone goal.
The Maroons, who outshot the Aces 36-15, held period leads of 1-0 and 3-1.
Winning goaltender was McGuire Gallant.

At Credit Union Place in Summerside, Sherren and Shawn MacDonald found the back of the net for the Maroons. Austin Banks chipped in with an assist.
Carson Yeo, assisted by Keeghan Wagner and Tyler Gallant, answered for Summerside, which trailed 1-0 after the first period and 2-1 after two.
The final shots-on-goal totals were 20-13 in favour of O’Leary. Gallant earned the goaltending win.
