CORNWALL – The Mid-Isle Wildcats completed the home portion of their 2017-18 P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League regular season on a winning note.
The Wildcats posted a 3-1 victory over the Kings County Kings at the APM Centre recently.
The Kings opened the scoring early in the first period, when Kyara Somers scored an unassisted goal from the point. Carla Stewart, assisted by Makayla Larsen, replied for the Wildcats, also from the point.
In the second period, Lexi Murphy scored an unassisted short-handed goal at 13:04. Keiran Andrews, who was set up by Maggie Linkletter, rounded out the scoring on the power play 35 seconds into the third.
Emma Arsenault picked up the goaltending win for the Wildcats.
Each team was assessed four penalties during the game.

Graduating players
During a pre-game ceremony, the Wildcats recognized seven graduating players, who are in their last year of minor hockey – Cassie Doiron, Kennedy Francis, Lisa Stevenson, Madeline Hamill, Maggie Linkletter, Makayla Larsen and Tait Tierney.
