SLEMON PARK, P.E.I. — Nick Brown’s two goals and James Duffy’s 45 saves helped the Sherwood-Parkdale Metros take control of the best-of-seven semifinal series in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League

The Metros doubled the host Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch 4-2 on Friday night. The Metros, who won the series opener 7-6 in overtime on Feb. 11, will host Game 3 at the Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown on Monday at 7:20 p.m.
At The Plex in Slemon Park, Will Levasseur (1-1) and Michael Jenkins also scored for the first-place Metros, who held period leads of 1-0 and 3-1. Shawn Corney and Jonathan Gormley added single helpers.
Brett Cheverie and James Birt replied for the Crunch. Remi Arsenault and Parker LeClair assisted.
Overall, the Crunch outshot the Metros 47-35. Jaxon Lamont was in goal for Summerside.
In the other best-of-seven semifinal series, the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces will take a 1-0 lead into Game 2 against the North River Flames at the APM Centre in Cornwall on Saturday. Puck drop is 7:50 p.m.
