CHARLOTTETOWN – The Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros erupted for five unanswered third-period goals en route to a 6-4 come-from-behind win over the Eastern Maniacs on Wednesday night.
The Metros hosted the Island Junior Hockey League game at the Cody Banks Arena.
Tanner Lund (1-3), Cody MacPhee (1-2), Connor Gray (1-1), Nick Currie, Colin Koughan and Taylor Runighan scored for the Metros. Zach Ladner and Dylan MacDonald each added a pair of helpers.
Blake Jamieson (1-1), Andrew Campbell, Tyson McInnis and Zach Kennific countered for the Maniacs, who held period leads of 1-0 and 4-1.
Winning goaltender Ben Parent finished with 30 saves. Cam Duffy made 36 stops for the Maniacs.
