CHARLOTTETOWN – Owen Arsenault and Ryan Clory have been chosen as the players of the week in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.
Arsenault helped the Sherwood-Parkdale Metros to three wins in picking up the offensive award. He netted the overtime winner to cap a hat-trick performance in a home win over the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces, and also scored the game-winning marker with less than two minutes to play against the Southside Lynx.
Arsenault’s play has been described as “particularly strong lately while playing a key role quarterbacking the power play.”
Clory made sure his first junior win was a memorable one. He recorded a 21-save shutout in backstopping the North River Flames past the Georgetown Eagles.
Clory, who was named the defensive player of the week, was especially sharp in the first period, when he turned in many quality saves.
