SUMMERSIDE – Cole McKeigan’s short-handed goal at 2:57 of the third period earned the Pownal Red Devils a 4-4 tie with the Mid-Isle Matrix on Monday night.
Adam Richards (1-1) and Michael Gallant also scored for the Red Devils in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game, which was played at the Pownal Sports Centre. Sam Parsons and Alex Doyle contributed single helpers.
Four different players – Reese Wyand (1-1), Aaron McCloskey, Kyler Weeks and Daniel Godfrey – countered for the Matrix. Colin Goodwin added a pair of assists while single helpers went to Nathan Mahar and Matthew Mills.
Mid-Isle held period leads of 2-1 and 4-3.
