CORNWALL – Carson MacKay, Reese Wyand and Gage Taylor held the hot hands for the Mid-Isle Matrix on Tuesday night.
MacKay scored two goals and assisted on another for a three-point effort, Wyand collected three assists and Taylor contributed a pair of helpers as the Matrix defeated the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League-leading Central Attack 4-1 at the APM Centre.
Sarah MacEachern and Spencer Toole also scored for Mid-Isle, which improved to 4-8-0 (won-lost-tied).
Kal White, assisted by Jamie Collins and Tanner MacLean, netted the lone marker for the Attack (6-4-2).
The Matrix held period leads of 1-0 and 2-1.
Winning goaltender was Josh Smith.
