Ling in giving mood in Central Attack victory

POWNAL, P.E.I. — The Central Attack is a win away from sweeping the Prince Edward Island bantam AAA hockey final.

The Attack can win the best-of-five final Wednesday at Simmons Sports Centre. Game time is 6:20 p.m.

The Attack defeated the Eastern Express 7-1 Monday at the Pownal Sports Centre to take a 2-0 series led.

Bates Ling had four assists to power the Attack while Brett Arsenault scored twice.

Jamie Collins and Tyler Worth each had a goal and an assist while Colby Huggan scored the winner. Kal White and Keegan Callaghan also found the back of the net.

Will Morrison had two assists while Landon MacDonald, Max Sentner and Nathan Mossey each added one.

Holden Bradley from Ross Campbell and Avery Brown replied with the home side’s goal.

Shannon MacDonald made nine saves for the victory while Nathan Bailey was tested 42 times in the loss.

Central, which held 2-0 and 5-1 period leads, was 0-for-6 on the power play while Eastern went 0-for-4.
