TIGNISH, P.E.I. — The Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces have taken a 1-0 lead over the North River Flames in the best-of-seven Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League semifinal series.

Will Tuplin had two goals and an assist while league most valuable player Dawson Sellick netted a brace to lead the Aces to a 5-1 win at the Tignish Credit Union Arena on Tuesday night. Lexin Gaudet added a single goal while Brayden Arsenault (2), Ryan Campbell (2), Cameron Gillis, Tyson Beckingham, Curklan Fraser and Colton Chaisson contributed assists.

Blake Gallant, assisted by Drew Nelson and Tanner Power answered for the Flames, who will host Game 2 at the APM Centre in Cornwall on Saturday at 7:50 p.m.
The Aces held period leads of 1-0 and 2-0.
Winning goaltender Koby Bridges turned aside 25 of 26 shots. Ryan Clory made 43 saves on 48 shots in the North River goal.
