BATHURST, N.B. – Captain Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Keith Getson and Brett Budgell each scored twice in an 8-3 victory over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Joseph also had two assists for a four-point night.

Zachary Beauregard and Nikita Alexandrov also scored. Derek Gentile had three assists, Alexandrov two and singles went to Hunter Drew, Daniel Hardie, William Sirman, Thomas Casey, Xavier Fortin and Lukas Cormier.

Budgell has scored two goals in each of the last three games and has a four-game goal streak.

Summerside’s Noah Dobson, Marc-André LeCouffe and Daniil Vertiy scored for the host Titan.

Matthew Welsh made 14 saves for the win while Tyriq Outen stopped 27 shots in the loss.

The Islanders held 2-0 and 5-0 period leads.

Charlottetown, which improved to 14-7-1-0, was 1-for-6 on the power play while the Titan (4-18-0-1) was 0-for-4.

The Islanders return to action Tuesday in Halifax when they play the Memorial Cup-hosting Mooseheads at 7 p.m.
