SUDBURY, ONT. – The Notre Dame Hounds put their perfect record on the line today at the Telus Cup midget hockey championship in Sudbury, Ont.
The Hounds, who are coached by Summerside native Devan Praught, play the Magog Cantonniers from Quebec at 4:30 p.m. Atlantic.
The Hounds, who are based in Wilcox, Sask., defeated the host Wolves 4-0 Tuesday to improve to 2-0. Seacow Pond native Brad Morrissey had an assist in the win. He now has a goal and three assists through the first two games for the Hounds and is among the tournament's scoring leaders.
Notre Dame held 2-0 and 4-0 period leads. They went 1-for-7 on the power play, but killed all eight of the Wolves chances.
