CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Alex Hambly scored 3:28 into overtime and scored a 3-2 victory for the A&S Scrap Metal Metros over the Eastern Maniacs Wednesday in Island Junior Hockey League action at Cody Banks Arena.

Keegan Mitchell and Grant Koughan gave the Metros a 2-1 edge by the second minute of the third period. That lasted until Eastern’s Eddie Jenkins (1-1) tied the game five minutes later.

Mike McGregor netted the other Maniacs goal 1:26 into the final frame.

The Metros Nick Currie chipped in two assists.

Matt Jelley earned the win over Cam Duffy. Shots were even at 35-35 and each team went 0-for-5 on the power play.
