Gaudet sparks Wind past Wildcats 6-3

SUMMERSIDE – Hilarie Gaudet scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Western Wind past the Mid-Isle Wildcats 6-3 in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League game at Credit Union Place’s Ice Pad on Thursday night.
Gracyn Handrahan (1-1), Paige Deighan, Macy Hackett and Kylie Campbell also found the back of the net for the Summerside-based Wind, who held period leads of 2-0 and 4-0. Tianna Gallant (2), Cailin Gaudet, Katie Snow, Keira MacKendrick, Meredith Rogers and Josee Gallant added assists.
Shaelynn McCardle (1-1), Emma Langley and Jessica Larsen countered for Mid-Isle. Carla Stewart (2) and Jessica Watts assisted.
Winning goaltender was Talynn Banks.
