Gardsmith, Biggar, Stewart lead SRHL teams

SUMMERSIDE – The Centennial Auto Group and MDS Coating earned wins in recent play in the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub Summerside Recreational Hockey League at Credit Union Place.
Centennial outscored the 200 Wing Colts 8-7, and MDS topped the Ramsay’s Law Rams 10-6.

Centennial 8 Colts 7
Chris Gardsmith had two goals and three assists while Wayne Biggar scored once and assisted on four others to pace Centennial.
Stephen Murray (2-2), Todd Ramsay (1-1), Dean Gallant and Doug Gallant also scored for the winning team. Thomas MacArthur added two assists.
Matt Kutcher (3-1), Matt Power (2-2), Steve Stewart (1-1) and Adam Toner replied for the Colts. Dan Kutcher (2) and Dylan Voth had assists.
Nick Annand was the winning goaltender.

MDS 10 Rams 6
Brian Stewart had three goals and an assist to lead MDS Coating. Chad Steele (2-1), Jacob Doyle (1-3), Phil Rodger (1-2), Phil Fisher (1-1), John Chaisson (1-1) and Mark Simmons netted the other goals.
Neil Ramsay (3-1), Faro Halupa (1-3), Eric Ma and Richard Almeda countered for Ramsay's. Jamie Marchbank (2) and Rodney McKenna added assists.
Parker Gallant earned the win in goal.
