O’LEARY – Jacob Gallant scored five goals to lead the O’Leary Maroons to an 11-2 victory over the Summerside Capitals in a P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League game at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre on Wednesday night.
Brady Sweet (2-2) and Tanner Gallant (1-3) each contributed four points to the Maroons’ attack. Affiliated player Dylan Tuplin (1-2), Morgan MacLeod (1-2) and Austin Arsenault (1-1) also scored for the Maroons. Other assists were credited to Jaycob Sweet (2), Shawn MacDonald (2), Reece Arsenault and Remington Jones.
Brayden Gallant (1-1) and Isaac Oram countered for Summerside.
The Maroons, who held a 38-15 shots-on-goal advantage, held period leads of 2-1 and 5-1.
