Rookie forward Kennedy Gallant of Charlottetown sparked the Miramichi Timberwolves to a 5-3 win over the St. Stephen Aces in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) on Saturday night.
Gallant, who was named the game’s first star, scored two goals and assisted on another for a three-point night at the Miramichi Civic Centre.
Kennedy has 15 points, including six goals, in 27 regular-season games.
Elsewhere Saturday, rookie goaltender Tyler Caseley of Kensington made 33 stops for the Yarmouth Mariners in a 1-0 loss to the visiting Pictou County Crushers.
