CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Curklan Fraser scored four times and added an assist Monday to lead the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces to a 6-5 victory over the Sherwood Metros in Razzy’s Junior C Hockey League action.

With the win, the second-place Aces (9-4-0) closed the gap with the league-leading Metros (12-2-0) to six points.

Dawson Sellick and Brayden Arsenault also scored in the victory at Cody Banks Arena . Ryan Campbell had three assists, Brayden Handrahan and Oliver Small both chipped in a pair while Colton Chaisson added one.

Will Levasseur and Riley Cheverie each had a goal and an assist for the Metros while Hunter Boudreau, Ethan Larocque and Michael Jenkins also found the back of the net.

Alex MacEachern and Shawn Corney each had two assists while Nick Brown chipped in one.

Koby Bridges had 38 saves in the win while Sumner Docherty made 41 stops in the loss.

The Aces held 2-1 and 4-2 period leads and were up 5-4 with 11 minutes to go. Arsenault scored an empty-net goal with 34 seconds remaining, but Larocque scored for the Metros with two seconds to play.

Tignish went 1-for-3 on the power play and killed Sherwood’s lone chance with the man advantage.
