TIGNISH, P.E.I. — Ryan Campbell’s power-play goal with 3:07 left in the second period was the winner Saturday as the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces downed the Sherwood Metros 5-3.

The best-of-seven Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League final is tied 1-1 with Game 3 Monday at 7:20 p.m. at Cody Banks Arena.

Saturday at the Credit Union Arena in Tignish, the host Aces jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one period.

The Metros cut the deficit to 3-2 with nine minutes remaining in the middle stanza before Campbell pushed the lead to two.

Brandon Forsythe led the Aces with a goal and two assists while Dawson Sellick had a goal and a helper. Tyson Beckingham and Brayden Handrahan also scored. Lexin Gaudet had a pair of assists while Cameron Gillis and Oliver Smallman each chipped in one.

Will Levasseur, Marc Cummiskey and Shawn Corney scored for the visitors with assists going to Derian Johnson, Logan Toole and Michael Jenkins.

McGuire Gallant stopped 35 shots for the victory while Sumner Docherty made 27 saves in the loss.

Tignish was 2-for-7 on the power play while Sherwood was 1-for-4.
