QUEBEC – Val-d’Or Foreurs defenceman David Henley was suspended six games by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for a hit to the head to Pavel Koltygin in a Nov. 11 games versus the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
Raymond Bolduc, the league’s director of player safety, said in statement the former Charlottetown Islanders d-man contacted simultaneously Koltygin’s body and head and made no effort to minimize contact.
Koltygin wasn’t injured on the play.
