SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The North River Flames scored five first-period goals en route to a 6-5 win over the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces at the APM Centre in Cornwall on Saturday night.

The win evens the best-of-seven semifinal series in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League at 1-1. Game 3 is in Tignish on Friday at 8 p.m.
The Flames jumped out to a 5-2 lead after 20 minutes, and led 6-5 after two.

Ethan MacFadyen (2), Kyle Doucette (1-1), Spencer Beaton (1-1), Zac MacKay and Tanner Hood scored for the Flames.
Nick Vandervelden (2), Colton Chaisson (1-1), Cameron Gillis and Tyson Beckingham countered for the Aces, who won Game 1 by a 5-1 score on Feb. 12.
The final shots-on-goal totals were 47-37 in favour of the Flames. Connor Chapman earned the goaltending win over Colin Gaudette.
