BATHURST, N.B. – Defenceman Noah Dobson will wear a different letter on his Acadie-Bathurst Titan jersey for the 2018-19 season.

The Summerside native will have the “C” stitched on his jersey after being announced as captain of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team on Wednesday. Dobson is the Titan’s 30th captain since the franchise relocated to Bathurst, N.B.
Dobson, the 12th overall selection in the 2018 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the New York Islanders, is in his third season with the Titan. He was a key contributor to the team’s President Cup and Memorial Cup championships last season, when he was an assistant captain as a 17-year-old. Now 18, Dobson is coming off a strong showing at the New York Islanders’ rookie and main training camps. He registered one assist and two penalty minutes in two National Hockey League pre-season games with the Islanders, who assigned Dobson to the Titan on Monday.
