SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Charlie DesRoches set up the game-winning goal for the Saint John Sea Dogs on Tuesday night.
The rookie defenceman from Days Corner drew the only assist on Anthony Boucher’s goal at 17:35 of the second period that gave the Sea Dogs a 4-1 lead over the visiting Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Saint John would go on to win the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League contest 5-3 at Harbour Station.
DesRoches, a second-round draft choice by the Sea Dogs in 2018, has one goal and one assist in nine regular-season games.
