CRAPAUD – The Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch, Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces and Southside Lynx earned victories in Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League play over the weekend.
The Crunch, led by Remi Arsenault’s six goals and three assists, registered a 19-5 victory over the Georgetown Eagles on Friday night, and in Saturday’s two games the Aces scored five third-period goals en route to a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the North River Flames while the Lynx trimmed the Eagles 9-2.

At the APM Centre in Cornwall, the Flames held period leads of 1-0 and 3-1, before the Aces answered back in the final 20 minutes.
Will Tuplin (2), Colton Chaisson (2), Ben Boulter and Brydon Smith scored for the Aces, who take a 15-7-2 (won-lost-overtime losses) record into Sunday night’s home game against the Crunch.
Five players – Connor Andrews (1-2), Tanner Hood (1-2), Logan Aylward (1-1), Ethan MacFadyen (1-1) and Matt Craig (1-1) – countered for the Flames. Kyle Doucette added two helpers.
Winning goaltender was Bradley Shea.

Lynx 9 Eagles 2
At the South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud, Ryan Beckingham (2-1), Tyson Beckingham (2), Morgan Darbyson (1-1), Tyler Jurkowski (1-1), Nick VanderVelden, Kyle MacGuigan and Brady VanderVelden found the back of the net for Southside (16-9-1). Nathan Paynter earned two assists.
Jaden Nantes and Kyle Murphy replied for the Eagles (1-23-1). Ryan Osborne chipped in with two helpers.
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period, but the Lynx opened up a 7-2 advantage after 40 minutes.
Affiliated player Trevor Whalen earned the goaltending victory.

Brandon Arsenault also had a big game for the Crunch with a hat trick and five assists for eight points. Skyler Phillips (3-2), James Birt (2-1), Colton Moore (2), James Briand (1-4), Marc-Andre Gallant and Connor Phillips rounded out Summerside’s scoring. Monty Desreux (2) added two helpers.
Kyle Murphy (2-1), Nantes (1-2), Isaiah Mahar and Dawson McCarthy answered for the Eagles.
The Crunch built period leads of 8-1 and 13-4.
Connor Gallant earned the goaltending win.
The Crunch enters Sunday night’s game in Tignish with a 10-13-1 record.
