Coyotes assign Joseph to Charlottetown Islanders

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The captain is coming back.

The Arizona Coyotes assigned Pierre-Olivier Joseph to the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday.

This will be the 19-year-old’s blue-liners fourth season with the Isles. He had 13 goals and 33 assists for 46 points in 63 games last season.

The Coyotes selected him 23rd overall at the 2017 NHL draft.

The news comes a day after the Anaheim Ducks sent defenceman Hunter Drew back to the Isles.
