Charlottetown Pride earn point in shootout loss to Saint John Vitos

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Cole Fraser scored in the shootout to give the Saint John Vitos a 4-3 victory over the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride Sunday in New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League action.

Charlottetown Islanders prospect Drew Johnston had a goal and an assist for Saint John while Caleb Kean had two helpers. Connor Richard and Kale McCallum also scored while Dom Rocca, Drew Elliott and Adam Bowness had assists.

Pride captain Gage MacWilliams had a goal and an assist to pace the home side at MacLauchlan Arena. Riley MacDougall and Noah Griffin also scored while Ed McNiel, Connor McGregor and Cole Larkin had helpers.

Rylan Holder made 26 saves for the win while Erik MacInnis stopped 37 shots in the loss.

The Pride held 2-1 and 3-2 period leads while McCallum struck at 13:22 of the third on a power play tie it. Saint John was 1-for-5 with the man advantage while Charlottetown was 2-for-4.

Saint John improved to 18-11-0 while Charlottetown is 11-12-5.
