RED DEER, Alta. — Connor Keough scored twice, including the winner, Sunday to pace Team P.E.I. to a 3-2 victory over the Northwest Territories in boys’ hockey action at the Canada Games in Red Deer, Alta.

The Summerside native turns 16 on Monday.

P.E.I. improved to 2-0 and sits atop the Group C standings while the Northwest Territories is 0-2. The Island plays Nunavut Monday at noon Atlantic before meeting Newfoundland and Labrador at 7 p.m.

Alex Graham also scored and had an assist while Zach Biggar had two assists and singles went to Jacob Squires, Cameron MacLean and captain Jack Campbell.

Andrew Carr and captain Samuel Schofield replied with goals for the Northwest Territories.

Aiden William turned aside 14 shots for the win while Liam Tereposky was peppered with 44 shots in the Northwest Territories crease.

The Northwest Territories led 1-0 after the first period but Prince Edward Island took a 2-1 lead to the third.
