RED DEER, Alta. — Cameron MacLean scored twice, including the winner, and had an assist to lead Team P.E.I. to a 3-2 victory over Team Yukon Saturday to open play at the Canada Games boys' hockey tournament in Red Deer, Alta.

Alex Graham had a goal and an assist in the victory while captain Jack Campbell, Max Chisholm and Jacob Squires each had a helper.

Kyron Crosby and captain Ashton Underhill scored for the Yukon.

Josh Smith made 16 saves for the win while Dawson Smith stopped 50 shots in the loss.

The Yukon held a 2-0 lead after the first period and was up 2-1 heading to the third. Graham tied it 1:21 into the final frame and MacLean scored the winner with two minutes to play.

Team P.E.I. plays the Northwest Territories today at noon Atlantic in Pool C play. The pool also includes Nunavut and Newfoundland and Labrador.
