WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Ava Boutilier of Charlottetown has nabbed another award.

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) women’s goaltender has been named the Hockey East defensive player of the week for the third time this season following a strong performance at Boston College on Friday.
Boutilier recorded her second win of the season against a ranked opponent as she turned aside 34 shots in a 2-1 decision over No. 3 Boston College Eagles. It was just the Eagles’ second loss of the season as UNH held the third-best offence in the nation to a single goal.
Boutilier sports a 12-9-7 record in her rookie season. With 760 saves, she currently sits in third place in UNH history for saves made in a single season. Jen Huggon made 809 saves in 2002 and 841 in 2001.
