Boehm, Scherger lead UPEI to win at Saint Mary's

HALIFAX, N.S. – UPEI Panthers rookie forward Delaney Boehm scored both goals in a 2-1 win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies Saturday during Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action in Halifax.

Taylor Gillis, Tyler Way and Kelly Clements each had an assist.

Brooke Murphy from Mary McDonald responded for Saint Mary’s.

Camille Scherger made 28 saves for the victory while Rebecca Clark stopped 19 shots in the loss. All of the scoring took place in the second period.

The Panthers won their third straight to improve to 6-4-1 while Saint Mary’s is 7-4-1.

UPEI is back in Halifax Friday to play Dalhousie before hosting St. FX Sunday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m.
