KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — Bennett MacArthur held the hot hand for the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild on Saturday night
The forward from Summerside, who had four goals and two assists, was in on every Wild goal in a 6-3 victory over the Fredericton Caps. The New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League game was played at Credit Union Centre in Kensington.
MacArthur, who scored the Wild’s last four tallies, has 33 points, including 20 goals, in 25 regular-season games after starting the season with the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals of the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
Rookie Simon Hughes had a goal and an assist while Dixon MacLeod chipped in with a single tally as the Wild improved to 24-6-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). Colby MacArthur (3), Zack Biggar (2), Ethan Beaulieu (2) and Will Proud added helpers for the short-staffed Kensington squad, which was missing players Lucas Parsons, Zac Arsenault, Isaac Wilson and Jack Campbell, along with head coach Kyle Dunn and equipment manager David (Gonzo) Bernard to suspensions.
