CHARLOTTETOWN – Remi Arsenault and Trevor Whalen have been named the players of the week in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.
Arsenault, who plays for the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch, received the offensive honour. Arsenault, who recorded 11 points – seven goals and four assists – in two games, is second in team scoring with 33 points in 25 games.
Defensive award
Whalen, an affiliated player with the Southside MacDonald’s Excavation/EF MacPhee Lynx, stepped in between the pipes and earned the win over the Georgetown Eagles in his first junior C game.
Whalen, who is one of the top goaltenders in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League with Pownal, stopped 17 of 19 shots for the Lynx.
