Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild goaltender Chad Arsenault continued to put up sparking numbers at the 2019 Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam hockey tournament on Saturday night.
Arsenault registered a shutout in backstopping the Wild to a 4-0 victory over the Cole Harbour WolfPack in a quarter-final game at the BMO Centre in Bedford, N.S. Arsenault, who has earned two shutouts in New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League play this season, has allowed just three goals while posting a 4-0-0 (won-lost-overtime losses) record in the Ice Jam.
Kensington (21-5-1), which opened the tournament with a solid 4-1 win over Cole Harbour on Wednesday night, now advances to the semifinals on Sunday, and will face the Cape Breton West Islanders (13-15-1) at 9 a.m. The other semifinal, which will take place at the same time, will feature the Moncton Flyers (22-2-1) taking on the Saint John Vitos (13-10-2). The championship game is at 2 p.m., and is scheduled to be televised on Eastlink.
The Wild, Flyers and Vitos all play in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League. Cole Harbour entered the Ice Jam tournament with 25 wins and two shootout losses in their last 27 league games.

Zac Arsenault (1-1), Ethan Beaulieu, Keiran Gallant and Ryan Richards scored for the Wild against the WolfPack. Bennett MacArthur, Reid Peardon, Landon Clow and Zach Biggar added assists.
Kensington built period leads of 1-0 and 3-0.
Joe Chambers was in goal for Cole Harbour.
