KINKORA, P.E.I. — Robert Greenan understands what it means to be a Kinkora Blazer
The 17-year-old son of John and Deanna Greenan of Kinkora is competing in two P.E.I. School Athletic Association senior sports with the Blazers, and is also very actively involved in school life at Kinkora Regional High School (KRHS).
It is this commitment that led to Robert being selected as the school’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month.
Robert played the midfield position in soccer in the fall, and is currently playing post in basketball.
“He has shown great leadership on and off the court amongst the guys,” commented Kinkora basketball coaches Ian Walker and Josh Watkins. “He’s also really good at helping some inexperienced players out.
“Overall, (Robert has been) an awesome teammate. He’s also been our leading scorer to date and best rebounder.”
Outside of school, Robert plays summer soccer with the Central Queens under-17 First Division team.
Robert is involved in school life, serving as a member of the KRHS grad executive, serves as a peer ed tutor and is involved in robotics.
Following graduation from high school in June, Robert hopes to study software engineering at either the University of New Brunswick or the University of Waterloo.
