Graham nets winning goal as Kensington Wild rallies past Saint John Vitos

KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild roared back in the third period.

The Wild struck for three unanswered goals to turn a 2-1 deficit after two periods of play into a 4-2 victory over the Saint John Vitos on Saturday night.
The New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League game was played at Credit Union Centre in Kensington.  
Reid Vos tied the game at 6:47 of the third period and Alex Graham’s goal at 9:45 broke a 2-2 tie and proved to be the game-winner. Will Proud’s empty-net goal with 24 seconds remaining sealed the win.
Isaac Vos (1-1) also scored for the Wild, who improved to 7-4-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). Seth MacLeod (2), Proud, Crosby Andrews, Donovan Arsenault and Dixon MacLeod drew assists.
Riley Rooney and Jacob Ouellette countered for the Vitos (4-9-0).
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period and Saint John outshot Kensington 38-32. Josh Smith earned the goaltending win with a 36-save effort.
Each team was assessed two minor penalties and the Vitos picked up one double minor for head contact.
